We are recruiting Bank Kitchen Assistants to join the team at our luxury care complex in Epsom as part of the fine dining kitchen team

Experience is preferred however full training can be given.

The salary for our Bank Kitchen Assistant is £8.40 per hour, working alternate weekends.

Shifts are 7am - 3.3pm or 12 - 8pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.

If you do not drive and will need to use public transport from the local station, a taxi will be provided for you by the care home.


We are happy to accommodate flexible working hours on a full or part time basis

Job description - Bank Kitchen Assistant

The Bank Kitchen Assistant supports all catering functions within the home and, alongside the Head Chef and other catering staff, ensures that standard operating procedures and high quality customer care are delivered.

In addition, our Bank Kitchen Assistant will ensure that all kitchen services are efficient and that the required Health and Safety measures are adhered to within the department. The Kitchen Porter assists with all working areas within the home's kitchen.

Duties
- Support the Head Chef, Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, Commis Chef and other catering staff to manage and deliver all catering services throughout the home, ensuring that resident choice, dignity, confidentiality and safety are maintained.
- Our BankKitchen Assistant must pepare nutritional food and beverages to a high standard.
- Our BankKitchen Assistant must maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas.
- Our Bank Kitchen Assistant will prepare special diet meals as needed and as directed by the Head Chef.
- Support cost-effective stock control systems to minimise waste and ensure these are in place.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

- Able to take direction from a number of chefs and management.
- Previous experience working in a Kitchen environment.
- Team player, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable individual.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and manage personal relationships.
