Job Description

We are recruiting a Night Unit Manager for our Care home in Enfield to work nights only.

The salary for our Night Unit Manager is £32,323 - £36,000 based on a 42 hour contract.

Salary is dependent on experience, qualifications and capabilities.

Equivalent to NHS Band 6

The Night Unit Manager role

Whether you're in charge of a unit or a floor the day-to-day lives of our residents will be shaped by our night unit manager's care and dedication. You'll lead your team to ensure that everything we do provides the absolute highest quality of service - not to mention developing the kind of deep relationships that make residents' lives longer, healthier and happier. The Unit Manager and their team will do that first of all by caring for each person's well-being - assessing their physical, mental and social needs, and maintaining impeccably accurate records on every individual. It's not just about the hard facts though: it's about understanding them and their families inside and out; taking the time to know them and care for them as people - their stories, their passions, their backgrounds. As well as building personal relationships with the residents and the people they care about, you'll also care about the home itself and about fostering a sense of community. The Night Unit Manager will create and develop strong links with local professional bodies, raising the care home's profile in the community. You'll go above and beyond - sometimes covering outside of normal hours too - to make sure that our home is everything it can be, for residents and staff alike.

Who we're looking for

Our Night Unit Manager will need to be a level one Registered Nurse - but we're looking for more than just qualifications on paper. We want someone who cares about the same things the residents do: their independence, their choice, and their sense of dignity. The Unit Manager must value their quality of life, their sense of spirit, and you care about making every day special for them, whatever comes your way. In short, you radiate commitment and a passion for care - and because of that, you form relationships of deep trust and understanding with residents and their families.
